Move over, Aaron Burr! History’s got its eyes on one of the pettiest (albeit fictional) rivalries that has finally taken center stage, and it’s all about a stolen ruffle. This week’s episode of Ghosts’ pulled the curtain back on Isaac Higgintooth’s long-standing beef with Alexander Hamilton (Nat Faxon) and it honestly doesn’t get any better than this duel. With Hamilton embarrassing our beloved Revolutionary War captain, Isaac’s more than 200-year upset over a fashion crime is so on point with his priorities to become one of the best episodes of this season. Of course, things get awkward as the episode leans into Curb Your Enthusiasm levels of petty, showing Hamilton as a charming, casually ruthless rival. While Isaac might not have handled things well, he’s finally telling a version of the story that makes him look bad, which is… growth. Maybe? Between this and Isaac’s ongoing ghostly drama, Ghosts continues to prove that unresolved grudges are forever*,* which is probably why none of them are getting sucked off anytime soon. So, what’s your favorite on-screen TV rivalry? The pettier, the better.
